I have not been able to accurately get the pictures to post in the background of the quiz when using that option. I even reduced it to 500x400 and used only jpg or png...still not posting. Should I go smaller than 500x400?

Hello Jorge, When I use 500x400 I received ERROR: File size too big. Max 250Kb ( I may have an option to trim the contrast or pixels) but unfortunately when I reduced the picture to 400x300...and it was accepted as a background, but never posted to the quiz as visible (able to be seen).
The 400x300 exists somewhere because when I upload it again and again the message I receive is: ERROR: There is already a file with that name. That means the file is somewhere on the server but I don't see any options within the software to access it.
Overall...I am still in love with this software and of course, I am able to work around these small hiccups. Any updates you do will only make this program a much-needed and sought-after tool in the IM space.

The problem is the size of the picture, not the size. If it's over 250Kb, the system will not allow to upload it.
Try to optimize it first! Change the name and retry.
